Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Silchar Bazar ("Platform", "Website", "Application", "We", "Us", or "Our"). By accessing, browsing, registering, or using any part of the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must discontinue use of the Platform immediately.

1. Nature of the Platform

Silchar Bazar is a technology-based multi-vendor marketplace that facilitates the listing, promotion, ordering, sale, purchase, and delivery of products and services offered by independent vendors and merchants.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Silchar Bazar is not the manufacturer, owner, distributor, reseller, or direct seller of products listed by third-party vendors.

2. Eligibility

You may use the Platform only if:

  • You are at least 18 years old; or

  • You are using the Platform under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian;

  • You have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts under applicable law.

We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or restrict access at our sole discretion.

3. User Accounts

Users are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of account credentials;

  • Providing accurate and updated information;

  • All activities performed through their account.

Any unauthorized use must be reported immediately.

Silchar Bazar shall not be liable for losses arising from failure to protect account credentials.

4. Orders and Transactions

All orders are subject to:

  • Vendor acceptance;

  • Product availability;

  • Serviceability within delivery zones;

  • Successful payment verification;

  • Compliance with applicable laws.

We reserve the right to reject, suspend, or cancel any order at any time for operational, legal, security, pricing, or fraud-prevention reasons.

5. Pricing

All prices displayed on the Platform are subject to change without notice.

Displayed prices may exclude:

  • Taxes;

  • Delivery charges;

  • Convenience fees;

  • Service charges.

Final charges shall be displayed during checkout.

6. Payments

Payments may be processed through authorized third-party payment gateways.

Users agree that:

  • Payment authorization does not guarantee order acceptance;

  • Banks and payment providers operate independently;

  • Transaction failures caused by third parties are beyond our direct control.

Silchar Bazar shall not be liable for losses arising from payment gateway downtime, banking failures, or network interruptions.

7. Vendor Responsibilities

Vendors using the Platform are solely responsible for:

  • Product quality;

  • Product legality;

  • Product descriptions;

  • Pricing accuracy;

  • Compliance with laws and regulations;

  • Fulfilment obligations.

Silchar Bazar does not independently verify every product listing and cannot guarantee vendor representations.

8. Delivery Services

Delivery estimates are provided for informational purposes only.

Actual delivery times may vary due to:

  • Weather conditions;

  • Traffic disruptions;

  • Vendor delays;

  • Public holidays;

  • Operational constraints;

  • Force majeure events.

Delivery partners act independently and delays do not automatically create entitlement to compensation.

9. Prohibited Conduct

Users shall not:

  • Violate any applicable law;

  • Submit false information;

  • Impersonate another person;

  • Attempt unauthorized access to systems;

  • Introduce malware or malicious code;

  • Interfere with platform operations;

  • Engage in fraudulent activities;

  • Abuse customer support services.

Violations may result in immediate account suspension or legal action.

10. Intellectual Property

All platform content including:

  • Logos;

  • Branding;

  • Software;

  • Designs;

  • Text;

  • Graphics;

  • Databases;

remain the exclusive property of Silchar Bazar or its licensors.

No content may be copied, modified, distributed, or exploited without written permission.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Silchar Bazar shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect losses;

  • Loss of profits;

  • Business interruption;

  • Data loss;

  • Vendor misconduct;

  • Delivery delays;

  • Product defects attributable to vendors;

  • Third-party service failures.

Total liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the affected transaction.

12. Indemnification

Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Silchar Bazar, its owners, employees, partners, and affiliates from claims, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from:

  • Violation of these Terms;

  • Misuse of the Platform;

  • Violation of third-party rights;

  • Unlawful activities.

13. Force Majeure

Silchar Bazar shall not be liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, internet outages, government restrictions, civil disturbances, power failures, or other force majeure events.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Platform without prior notice if users violate these Terms or engage in harmful conduct.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India.

Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Cachar District, Assam, India.
